Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity for a skilled Millwright to take on a challenging role that involves working with various machinery and equipment. The successful candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To work safely and effectively, adhering to all applicable health and safety regulations.
  • To troubleshoot production and quality issues in collaboration with operating personnel.
  • To perform predictive and preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair plant equipment in a timely manner.
  • To complete all required documentation, including work orders, parts sign-outs, requisitions, and quality sign-off sheets.
  • To take ownership of repairs, ensuring jobs are completed within time demands.
  • To perform welding and machining tasks as needed.
  • To troubleshoot and repair pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
  • To ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices.
  • To respond to work orders and service calls promptly to minimize downtime.
  • To log parts out of inventory and record as necessary.
  • To adhere to internal quality control standards.
  • To report any unsafe conditions or dangerous behavior to the appropriate manager.
  • To participate in required training.
  • To coordinate preventive and demand maintenance and discretionary work assignments with the supervisor as requested.
  • To operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks, and tractors to position machinery and parts during installation, set-up, and repair.
  • To inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions.
  • To assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A valid Industrial Millwright Certificate 433A.
  • 3-5 years of previous millwright experience.
  • Competency in welding, minor fabricating, and rigging.
  • Good working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics, including troubleshooting.
  • Experience operating all general-purpose machine shop equipment.
  • Ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
