About the Job

At PML Sound International, we are seeking an experienced Industrial Machinery Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, aligning, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Read blueprints, diagrams, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures and ensure seamless installation and operation of machinery.
  • Install, align, dismantle, and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools.
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices like cranes and jacks to position machinery and parts during installation, setup, and repair of machinery.
  • Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.
  • Install and troubleshoot vacuum, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controls to maintain smooth operations.
  • Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts, taking into account the intricate relationships between various components and systems.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform routine maintenance work on machinery and plant systems to prevent breakdowns and optimize efficiency.
  • Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools, adhering to strict safety protocols.
  • Assemble and install equipment such as drive motors, gearboxes, belts, gravity conveyors, platforms, and other types of industrial equipment, requiring attention to detail and precision.
  • Repair and overhaul mechanical systems, replacing and aligning moving parts as required to restore optimal performance.
  • Analyze information to perform maintenance tasks like cleaning and lubrication of machinery, troubleshooting, test running, and proper operation of machines, applying problem-solving skills and technical expertise.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Maintenance Technician diploma or equivalent is essential for this role.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in general building maintenance and machine repairs is required, with a strong understanding of trades (HVAC, painting, carpentry, drywall, electrical, plumbing).
  • The ideal candidate should possess knowledge of preventative and demand maintenance, allowing them to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Experience with hand tools and power tools is crucial for success in this position.
  • The ability to lift, push, and pull up to 99lbs repeatedly, as well as stand, bend, kneel, climb, and stretch for extended periods, is necessary due to the physically demanding nature of the job.
  • A valid driver's license is also required for transportation and logistics purposes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with colleagues and management.
  • Prioritization, multitasking, and problem-solving skills are critical in this fast-paced environment.
  • A strong technical, analytical, and troubleshooting mindset is necessary to resolve complex issues efficiently.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, is required due to the 24/7 nature of our operations.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
