We're seeking an Assurance Manager to join our Private Client Services team. As a key member of our national practice, you'll have the opportunity to work on diverse client engagements. Our clients include local, national, and internationally recognized companies. RSM's assurance professionals help companies improve their performance through the most challenging business cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide timely, high-quality client service that meets or exceeds client expectations, including coordinating review engagements and compilations of financial statements, related disclosures, and other client deliverables.
- Assess risk and design procedures to engagement teams.
- Understand and utilize RSM's review, compilation, and audit methodology.
- Manage multiple engagement teams and prepare end-of-engagement evaluations for staff.
- Supervise engagement teams and function as an in-charge, facilitating field work by monitoring and reporting on productivity and adherence to work plan schedules.
- Maintain contact with clients throughout the year to understand the impact of significant developments in their business and assess the impact on current year engagements.
- Develop others within the Firm through facilitating levels-based or industry training, advising on career development, or participating in other Firm initiatives.
- Subscribe to and actively read industry publications, sharing relevant information with clients as applicable.
- Anticipate and address client concerns, escalating issues as they arise.
- Understand RSM's lines of businesses, availability of services, and where applicable, discuss with client management opportunities to make valuable introductions to others in the Firm.
- Develop a strategy to utilize relationships external to the Firm with different types of Centers of Influence to effectuate business growth.
- Manage profitability of projects.
- Identify and communicate accounting and engagement matters to Senior Managers and Partners.
- Identify performance improvement opportunities.
- Ensure professional development through ongoing education.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments affecting GAAP and the Firm's standards and policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) degree or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
- Active CPA designation in good standing.
- 5+ years of current or recent experience in a public accounting environment.
- Experience leading teams and mentoring associates.
- Understanding of compilation, review, audit, and tax services with knowledge of GAAP and GAAS.
- A proven record of building profitable, sustainable client relationships.
- Minimum of 4 years of team lead or in-charge experience overseeing staff on multiple engagements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A successful record of directing and deploying staff and senior associates on multiple, simultaneous engagements.

At RSM Global, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions, including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $78,000 - $132,500.
Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
