Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Mental Health Support Worker to join our team. As a Mental Health Support Worker, you will work under the direction of a Registered Nurse or another regulated healthcare professional to perform a variety of non-direct and/or non-clinical duties to support other team members and individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges and their family/caregivers, to maximize their independence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work under the direction of a Registered Nurse or another regulated healthcare professional
  • Perform non-direct and/or non-clinical duties to support other team members and individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges
  • Maximize independence for individuals and their family/caregivers
Requirements
  • Grade 12 (and English 12) or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience
  • Valid BC Driver's License may be required
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
