SUSHI HOUSE BANFF is seeking a skilled and dedicated Executive Sushi Artisan to join our team.

About the Role:

We are looking for a highly experienced sushi chef with a passion for creating exquisite dishes in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising activities of specialist chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers, instructing cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food, and maintaining records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff to ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation
  • Develop and implement menus that meet quality standards and cater to customer preferences
  • Coordinate with suppliers to requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean and hygienic work environment
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve business objectives and promote a positive work culture

Requirements:

  • 3-4 years of experience as a senior sushi chef or equivalent role
  • Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team of cooks and kitchen staff
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Ability to lift up to 25 kg and stand for extended periods
