Project Administrator Job Description

Company Overview:

Job Summary:

The Project Administrator will support and assist the Project Management staff with daily duties, including scheduling, timekeeping, clerical tasks, reports, travel booking, and job filing. The successful candidate will handle client inquiries, provide information and assistance to staff and clients, and possess excellent computer skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare periodic client project reporting as required.
  • Maintain project files and assist with document management.
  • Coordinate project personnel travel requirements and interact with head office departments.
  • Assist with purchasing and interact with owners, engineers, and other project stakeholders.
  • Design and maintain documentation for project tracking and personnel scheduling.
  • Become cross-trained on other administrative duties and perform clerical tasks as required.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years progressive experience in a construction project-based administrative role.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to motivate and supervise junior administrators.
  • Superior time-management skills to meet deadlines handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
