Themis Solutions Inc. is a leading innovator in legal technology, poised to revolutionize the legal landscape with its new product, Clio File, an electronic filing (e-filing) and electronic service (e-service) solution.

This cutting-edge solution will empower legal professionals in their interactions with court systems, unburdening these institutions, reducing errors, expediting crucial feedback loops, and improving access to legal services for all.

The Challenge Ahead

As we continue to grow and expand our engineering ecosystem, we require a seasoned leader to spearhead our e-filing team. This team currently operates as a subset of our larger engineering organization and needs to be transformed into a standalone department.

To succeed, we need an Engineering Department Head who is a builder, someone who will challenge ideas, generate discussion, and encourage their team to do the same.

What You'll Do
  • Lead by example, rolling up your sleeves and diving deep into technology and code to drive results and foster collaboration between managers and developers.
  • Directly supervise, mentor, and collaborate with experienced engineering managers and individual contributors who are committed to delivering exceptional work.
  • Navigate the complexities of transitioning from our current state to a future where documents are handled seamlessly and efficiently.
  • Partner with Product Management and Product Design leaders to envision, develop, and execute on our product roadmap.
  • Work closely with our Recruiting/People team to actively recruit and hire top talent to support Clio's ambitious growth plans for our documents team/function.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A proven track record as a director or senior engineering leader, comfortable pushing code to production when necessary.
  • Experience scaling services and systems with projects built for scalability.
  • Adept at managing and mentoring high-performing teams, nurturing talent, and guiding individuals toward professional growth and development.
  • Proven experience crafting long-term strategies and managing technical roadmaps that pave the way for future growth.
  • Successful experience running agile organizations at scale, with a sense of urgency to deliver quality software to solve customer problems.
  • Demonstrated experience promoting positive culture and diversity throughout a large engineering organization to achieve transformational change.
Your Compensation Package

We offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $204,000 to $255,000 CAD annually, plus variable pay based on company performance.
