About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to provide clerical support for our Medicine Unit. The successful candidate will be the initial contact for the unit, providing support for unit operations, including registering patients, faxing, data entry, and photocopying.


The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to work collaboratively with other support staff, mentoring when indicated, and may be required to cover other positions within the clerical and admin support group. Ensuring documentation is complete and accurate as per standards, the candidate will also serve as a liaison between Health Information Services and the team.


About You

We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong commitment to maintaining and protecting patient, client, and personal safety on an ongoing basis. The ideal candidate will have effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritize duties while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.


Previous experience in a related field, such as a recognized one-year secretarial/business program, is considered an asset. Medical terminology and previous experience with STAR and PHS are also considered assets.


Hours and Compensation

  • Permanent, Full-time / 1.0 FTE / 70 Hours Bi-weekly
