Job Title: Senior Budget Analyst

Join the Government of Nunavut's Department of Finance as a Senior Budget Analyst, playing a key role in helping the department's directors and other budget managers identify financial needs, develop and understand detailed budgets, and monitor and report on these budgets over the year.

About the Role

The Senior Budget Analyst will work closely with the Director, Corporate Services, the Manager, Financial Services, and others to assemble and maintain the Department's detailed budgets, accurately report the department's budget and financial activities, and help improve the accuracy of the department's budgets.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and maintain the Department's detailed budgets
  • Accurately report the department's budget and financial activities
  • Help improve the accuracy of the department's budgets
  • Administer the department's Centrally Administered Funds
  • Help improve the department's budgeting and financial operations
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree in business administration, finance, public administration, or a relevant field, and three years of experience in a field related to finance, budgeting, accounting, or similar. A professional designation related to accounting would be a significant asset.
