Job Title: Executive Chef - Menu Planning and Operations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at N.W.T. Limited.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, preparing, and implementing menus that meet our high standards of quality and excellence. This includes coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory, and ensuring food safety and hygiene practices are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory levels
  • Analyze operating costs and other data to optimize menu pricing and profitability
  • Develop and implement new menu ideas and dishes to stay competitive and attract new customers
  • Oversee the preparation and cooking of meals and specialty foods for guests and events
  • Schedule and coordinate staff shifts and ensure adequate coverage during peak periods
  • Train and mentor junior chefs in cooking techniques, kitchen safety, and customer service skills
  • Collaborate with other departments to provide exceptional guest experiences and achieve business objectives
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an executive chef or senior kitchen manager
  • Degree in hospitality, culinary arts, or related field (an asset)
  • Proven track record of successfully managing budgets, scheduling, and staff performance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
