About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Gas Equipment Inspector to join our team in Coquitlam, BC. As a Senior Gas Equipment Inspector, you will be responsible for evaluating and field inspecting medium/large scale fuel-fired equipment used in oil & gas, mining, manufacturing, and commercial HVAC industries.

Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to sales teams to determine the scope of new projects and develop pricing estimates and project timelines.
  • Directly work with the Fuel SI program lead and represent the Fuel SI program through field inspections.
  • Review process data, P&ID, drawings, BOM, and sequence of operations documents on the path to equipment approvals for clients.
  • Conduct gas field inspections at client locations throughout North America, with a focus on western Canada locations.
  • Review Fuel SI application forms from potential clients and recommend the most effective path towards certification/approvals for fuel-fired equipment.
  • Conduct reviews and provide process improvements based on Canadian safety standards.
  • Attend technical or industry association meetings and develop networking with current and future clients.
  • Travel to various client sites in North America, which may also involve some overseas travel.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering.
  • 2+ years' experience in oil & gas process equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience with oil & gas process equipment.
  • Required registration as a Professional Engineer (PEng) OR eligibility for registration in BC, Alberta, and QC.
  • Familiarity with North American oil & gas safety codes and standards, including CSA B149 Series, UL, ANSI, NFPA, ISO.
  • Hands-on experience in process instrumentation and process control, including safeguard control systems and PLC.
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills, as well as computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Able to travel 75%.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable driving record are required.

The base wage or salary range for this position is $38.65 - $62.50 hourly.
