Employment and Training Specialist

The Manitoba Métis Federation (MMF) is seeking a highly skilled Employment and Training Counsellor to join our Métis Employment & Training Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the employment and training needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients to determine their employment needs and eligibility for MMF programs and services.
- Develop and implement employment and training plans that meet the unique needs of each client.
- Provide ongoing counselling support to clients throughout their employment and training journey.
- Collaborate with community resource programs, school divisions, and other government agencies to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with labour market trends and job postings to provide clients with relevant information and resources.
- Post-secondary education in the Social Sciences or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in employment/career counselling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse client groups.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office and computerized case management systems.
- Ability to travel and possess a valid Manitoba driver's license.
