Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Instructional Assistant to join our team at St.Amant School. As an Instructional Assistant, you will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver educational programs and provide care to small groups of students. Your primary responsibilities will include supporting the teacher in identifying the total needs of a group of residents, encouraging people to have new relationships, and exploring engagement in community activities.

- Encourage people to have new relationships and explore engagement in community activities.
- Follow the direction of the teacher, working with other team members to deliver the educational component of the overall program of care, education, and training.
- Participate in a formal IPP/IEP process to ensure that the overall needs and preferences of each student are addressed.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure coordination and integration of services.
- Communicate with students' family members or advocates as required.
- Grade XII diploma (or equivalent).
- One year certificate in a relevant area of study (e.g., Developmental Service Worker Certificate, one year completed towards the Early Childhood Education Diploma Program or Educational Assistant Diploma).
- Class 4F driver's license (or Class 5F with the ability to secure Class 4F within six months).
- Experience working in a school program within the last five years (or a combination of Grade 12 and 3000 hours of experience).
