Account Executive, Growth Accelerator

We're looking for an experienced Account Executive to join our team at Thinkific. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving growth and revenue through strategic account management and new business development.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute account plans to achieve monthly sales goals and maximize revenue
- SOURCE NEW POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS: Identify and target potential clients through various lead generation methods, including market research, cold calling, networking, and responding to intent-based lead data
- Work leads effectively from lead intent to meeting, opportunity, and closed deal
- Understand client needs and challenges to position Thinkific's solutions effectively and provide consultative sales guidance
- Be responsible for lead follow-up, prospecting, pipeline hygiene, opportunity development, and effective sales cycles through to close
- Develop meaningful relationships and identify, develop, and influence net new opportunities to support customers' journeys toward reaching their educational goals
- Conduct product tours and presentations to showcase Thinkific's value proposition and its relevance to clients' business objectives
- Lead contract negotiations, handle objections, and close deals while ensuring client satisfaction and meeting or exceeding sales targets
- At least 3 years of experience in customer-facing business development roles with a focus on generating pipeline
- At least 1 year of experience running full sales cycles, including closing deals
- Proven track record of quota attainment and outperformance
- Natural curiosity, growth mindset, and eagerness for exciting new experiences that push comfort zones
- Ability to juggle multiple accounts, opportunities, and activities simultaneously and prioritize leads effectively
- Customer-centric selling philosophy and comfort making phone calls
- Team player who wants to work alongside others to have a big impact on a scaling Sales function
- Data-driven approach with ability to self-diagnose what works and what can be improved in sales approaches
- Love to learn and grow, seeking ways to level up skills in this field
- Able to work from Vancouver office or Toronto co-working space a few days per week
- Familiarity with lead qualification criteria (MEDDIC/BANT)
- Experience taking bespoke approaches to working leads without relying on sequencing tools and generic templates
- Able to understand lead intent signals and respond appropriately
- Understanding of social selling and experimental mindset to expand skillset
- Experience using a CRM (Salesforce)
