Salary: $80,000 - $110,000 per yearJob Description

We are seeking an experienced Development Director to lead our strategic philanthropy efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with major donors, corporations, and community partners to support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet organizational goals;
  • BUILD and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including major donors, corporations, and community partners;
  • Oversee the design and implementation of donor acquisition and stewardship strategies;
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment and effective communication;
  • Promote the values of DeafBlind Ontario Services within the workplace and in the community.
Required Skills and QualificationsEducation and Experience:
  • University degree in business, communications, or a related field;
  • 6-10 years' experience in leadership roles with professional fundraising experience in the non-profit sector;
  • Proven track record of fundraising success and an active network of philanthropic contacts.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated diplomacy, negotiation, conflict resolution, people management skills, and issue-based problem-solving techniques;
  • Strong knowledge of relevant federal and provincial legislation;
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills;
  • Demonstrated high level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
