Job Summary

Mitchell Plastics is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Setup Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up and operating molding machines, ensuring high-quality products, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and start up molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and tooling as specified on the set-up master.
  • Monitor and control processes to ensure they are running within the tolerances of the set-up master.
  • Notify the Production Supervisor of any processes outside of tolerances or nonconforming products.
  • Document all set-up changes outside the tolerances of the set-up master.
  • Verify color feeders are set to the set-up master and products meet quality standards.
  • Adhere to all relevant Safety Procedures, including lock-out/tag-out and equipment inspection.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a good basic understanding of the injection molding process and possess well-developed mechanical and technical abilities. You should be eager to learn and attend training courses, as this is a requirement of the position. Additionally, you must be in good physical condition, with the ability to climb into tight spaces, underneath machines, and on top of machines.

The ideal candidate will be a quality-conscious team member, dedicated to working in a neat, organized, and efficient manner. You should be flexible in working hours and shifts and willing to work overtime when necessary.
