Job Summary

Flex-N-Gate, a leading manufacturer and supplier of components for the automotive industry, is seeking a skilled Setup Technician - Injection Molding to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for installing and setting up injection molding machines, developing processes, and ensuring the production of high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and set up injection molding machines, including proper rigging techniques and equipment operation
  • Process and troubleshoot injection molding machines, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance
  • Develop and modify robot programs to handle parts efficiently and safely
  • Monitor production for accuracy and efficiency, working with quality inspectors to ensure part quality and performance
  • Perform minor electrical and mechanical repairs and adjustments to machines and tools, notifying supervisors of major service requirements
  • Record and maintain records as required, promoting a culture of safety and compliance
  • Perform other duties as required to support the production team

Requirements

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to operate a crane and drive a forklift
  • Working knowledge of plastic injection molding and good mechanical aptitude
