About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Greenhouse Summer Associate to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Saskatoon, SK.

As a Greenhouse Summer Associate, you will play a key role in supporting our breeding projects, ensuring seed quality and quantity for continued use in the Greenhouse and Doubled Haploid programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assistance to breeding projects, including seeding to harvest responsibilities, tissue and seed sampling, removal of contaminants, pollinators and pollination control, and maintenance and care of greenhouse plants.
  • Assist in seed cleaning and cleaning of greenhouse and stocking supplies.
  • Support other department programs, including pathology and field as required.
Requirements
  • Good communication skills with the ability to take initiative and work in a team environment.
  • Knowledge or experience in a greenhouse environment and with the general care and maintenance of plants.
  • Problem-solving skills, self-motivated.
  • Ability to be flexible and modify plans according to priorities.
