About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate to join our team at BASF Canada Inc. in Saskatoon, SK.

As an Agronomic Excellence Summer Associate, you will have the opportunity to work with our local Agronomic Excellence group to evaluate canola hybrids, seed technology, and agronomic practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct field trials to develop regional, hybrid-specific agronomic practices.
  • Assist with field trial activities, including seed setup, land preparation, planting, pest control, plot maintenance, harvesting, and supervision of casual employees.
  • Regularly travel in your local region for field scouting and crop health diagnosis through daily monitoring of field and research plots, data collection, and analysis.
Requirements
  • Strong agronomic competence attained through pursuing a degree in Agriculture or a related field, along with experience in the Agriculture Industry.
  • Familiarity and practical experience with agriculture equipment is an asset.
  • Ability to deliver results in pursuit of both individual and team goals.
  • Previous experience in agriculture field research is an asset.
  • Attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to be flexible and modify plans as situations arise, minimizing impact on results.
  • Driver's license.
