We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Support Specialist to join our team at Loblaw Companies Limited.
Job SummaryThis role involves providing administrative support to our pharmacy operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for filling prescriptions, preparing compounds and mixtures, packaging medications, and delivering products according to schedules.
Key Responsibilities- Fills a variety of prescriptions efficiently to maintain workflow and productivity.
- Prepares compounds, mixtures, and temperature control items in a safe and timely manner.
- Packages blister pack medications and ensures accurate labeling and inventory management.
- Delivers completed products based on schedules and patient needs.
- Evaluates and addresses minor issues promptly and effectively.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintains a clean and organized work station and inventory shelves, adhering to company standards.
- Manages supplies and materials, ensuring adequate stock levels and minimizing waste.
- Contributes to prescription information management, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.
- Demonstrates liability awareness and commitment to quality service.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Pharmacy Technician Diploma from an accredited college is an asset, but not mandatory.
- Relevant experience in a retail pharmacy environment, hospital, or long-term care setting is preferred.
