Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Medical Support Specialist to provide support to Nurse Practitioners in various clinics. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dedicate the majority of your time to supporting Nurse Practitioners, including co-seeing patients, Quality Improvement initiatives, chart reviews, and other tasks as required.
  • See patients as needed, or same-day appointments if no Nurse Practitioner is available or support is required.
  • Attend to urgent patient chart reviews or consults within 7 days of receipt.
  • Support Nurse Practitioners with QI/education follow-ups and telephone consultations.
  • Participate in project work, such as clinic evolution, design, and advancement.
  • Attend meetings with SHA colleagues approximately once monthly.
Requirements
  • Candidates should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
