About the SCI Group

The Sustainability and Climate Innovation (SCI) group is a key component of our investment approach, helping us mitigate risk, uncover opportunities, and enhance long-term performance. Our team works closely with investment teams across public and private markets asset classes to develop our collective insight and integrate sustainability factors throughout our investment processes.

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Analyst, Sustainability to play an active role in the SCI group. As a valued member of our team, you will report to the Senior Manager, Sustainability & Climate Innovation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing in-depth research and analysis on sustainability-related factors to support the integration of sustainability in our investment and monitoring activities.
  • Developing and implementing PSP's sustainability-related assessment framework for external managers and general partners.
  • Supporting engagements with portfolio companies, general partners, and internal teams.
  • Participating in the development and maintenance of tools to ensure sustainability-related considerations are integrated in our investment and monitoring activities.
  • Supporting the development and enhancement of sustainability and climate-related policies and internal procedures.
  • Building strong working relationships with our Private Equity and Credit Investments asset classes.
  • Conducting primary research, analysis, and presentations on sustainability matters and best practices for institutional investors.
  • Participating in collaborative and leadership initiatives with industry peers.
  • Collaborating on PSP's disclosure and reporting activities on sustainability matters.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A robust educational foundation, preferably with a degree in a relevant field such as sustainability, finance, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise in sustainability-related experience, with a minimum of two years of experience in the sustainable investing, investment ownership, or management industry.
  • Demonstrated interest in sustainable investing principles and practices, including knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and reporting standards.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Business acumen, blending both qualitative and quantitative analysis to solve complex business problems.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technology and data analytics.
  • A results-oriented and goal-driven mindset, with a commitment to achieving quantifiable outcomes.
  • Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn).
