Position OverviewThis role presents an exceptional opportunity for an individual to gain global experience within a recognized international company that has successfully integrated Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into its business strategy. Reporting to the Corporate Sustainability Department under the Director of Global Sustainability, the Senior Analyst will assist in ESG disclosures, ensuring the accuracy of data for external reports and third-party ESG surveys.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Corporate Sustainability Department in gathering and analyzing ESG data for external reporting purposes.
- Compile content to support Gildan's annual ESG reporting, ratings, and surveys (e.g., GRI, SASB, UNGCP, ISSB, CDP, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, DJSI).
- Conduct research and analysis on emerging sustainability trends, benchmark against external standards, monitor regulatory changes, and provide recommendations.
- Enhance and streamline existing processes to improve efficiency and clarity in complex workflows.
- Support the development and adaptation of data analytics tools to advance ESG initiatives and track progress towards targets.
- Collaborate with various business divisions and manufacturing hubs globally to compile sustainability data and assist in internal research on sustainability topics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in sustainability, climate policy, public policy, or a related environmental, social, or engineering field, with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- In-depth understanding of ESG topics and familiarity with ESG-related standards and frameworks such as GRI, SASB, and ISSB.
- Experience with sustainability frameworks and various ESG rating agencies (e.g., WBA, MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, CDP).
- Strong data analytics and visualization skills, with proficiency in handling large datasets using tools like Excel, Tableau, and Power BI.
- Proactive learner with excellent analytical and strategic thinking abilities, along with effective time management skills.
- Highly organized and results-driven, demonstrating initiative in tasks.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of building strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in a language other than French is required to support international markets and stakeholders.
