About the Sustainability and Climate Innovation Group

The Sustainability and Climate Innovation (SCI) group plays a critical role in advancing PSP Investments' sustainability and climate strategy. Our team works closely with investment teams across public and private markets asset classes to develop our collective insight, integrate sustainability factors into our investment processes, and deliver public reporting to stakeholders.

About the Senior Analyst, Sustainability Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analyst, Sustainability to join our SCI group. As a valued member of our team, you will report to the Senior Manager, Sustainability & Climate Innovation. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing in-depth research and analysis on sustainability-related factors (risks and opportunities) to support the integration of sustainability in our investment and monitoring activities.
  • Developing and implementing PSP's sustainability-related assessment framework applicable to our external managers and general partners.
  • Supporting engagements with our portfolio companies, general partners, and internal teams.
  • Actively participating in the development and maintenance of tools to ensure that sustainability-related considerations are adequately integrated in our investment and monitoring activities.
  • Supporting the development and enhancement of sustainability and climate-related policies and internal procedures.
  • Building strong working relationships with our Private Equity and Credit Investments asset classes.
  • Conducting primary research, analysis, and presentations on sustainability matters and best practices for institutional investors.
  • Actively participating in collaborative and leadership initiatives with industry peers.
  • Collaborating on PSP's disclosure and reporting activities on sustainability matters both internally and externally.

Requirements

  • Robust educational foundation, degrees preferred (e.g., bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field such as sustainability, finance, business administration, or a related discipline). Additional sustainability-related certifications are assets.
  • Demonstrated expertise through minimum two (2) years of relevant sustainability-related experience in the sustainable investing, investment ownership or management industry, with a focus on private equity and credit investments.
  • Demonstrated interest in sustainable investing principles and practices, including knowledge of relevant regulatory frameworks and reporting standards related to sustainable investing.
  • Communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders (internally and externally) at all levels.
  • Business acumen, blending both qualitative and quantitative analysis to solve complex business problems is an asset.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in technology and data analytics.
  • A results-oriented and goal-driven mindset, with a commitment to achieving quantifiable outcomes.
  • Proficiency in English and French (or willingness to learn).
