Job Summary

An employee who, under the direction of the Principal or designate, supervises students in indoor and outdoor settings, ensuring a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Communicate effectively with excellent interpersonal skills, building strong relationships with students, staff, and parents.
  2. Act with authority, tact, and diplomacy, resolving conflicts and addressing challenging behaviors in a non-confrontational manner.
  3. Work collaboratively as part of a team, maintaining confidentiality and a professional attitude in all interactions.
  4. Provide care to designated students' medical needs, following Board Policy No. 310 and signing the Request for Medication Form as required.
  5. Understand and apply safe work practices, adhering to the Independent Learning Services Education Assistant Handbook and student safety plan.
  6. Rend emergency assistance and/or follow emergency protocols as needed.
  7. Report site safety concerns and perform other job-related duties as assigned.

This role requires a strong understanding of student needs, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
