Vancouver Christian School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Educational Assistant to support our elementary students. As a key member of our educational team, you will work closely with teachers to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advocate for students and their needs
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Communicate professionally with coordinators, teachers, students, and parents
  • Work with teachers to facilitate student participation in classroom activities
  • Collaborate with teachers, counsellors, and support personnel to serve student needs
  • Provide individual or small group support in the classroom and/or outside
  • Encourage student development and participation
  • Participate in school-based team meetings
  • Assist in adapting situations, environment, materials, and activities for student success
  • Implement strategies to help students reach their goals

Ideal Qualifications:

  • EA Certification or equivalent
  • Experience working with students with special needs
  • Excellent communication skills in English
  • Commitment to a Christ-centred life and understanding of VCS mission, vision, and community standards
