Job Summary

The BC Public Service Agency is seeking a highly skilled Land and Resources Coordinator to join their team. As a key member of the Mountain Resorts Branch's Wildfire Risk Reduction work unit, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing wildfire mitigation plans for BC's all-season resorts.

The Role

As the Land and Resources Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting the implementation of wildfire risk reduction plans and coordinating the review of forestry-related applications at BC's all-season resorts. You will work closely with clients, interpreting their needs and guiding them through application and contracting processes to meet wildfire risk reduction and timber harvesting goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of wildfire risk reduction plans
  • Coordinate the review of forestry-related applications
  • Work with clients to interpret their needs and guide them through application and contracting processes
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to achieve project goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in a natural resource management related field
  • Two years of related experience
  • Registered, or immediately eligible for registration, as a fully licensed Registered Professional Forester (RPF) with the Association of Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC)
  • Valid B.C. driver's licence
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in project management
  • Experience managing multiple projects or leading a component of a major project
  • Experience managing relationships with internal and external partners and leading engagement
  • Experience in conflict and dispute resolution principles and practices
