About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Land and Resource Coordinator to join our dynamic team at the BC Public Service Agency. As a key member of our Land and Resource Program, you will play a critical role in planning, preparing, and delivering wildfire resiliency projects across BC Parks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage wildfire risk reduction and prescribed fire projects within BC Parks
  • Collaborate with regional BC Parks staff and the BC Wildfire Service to enhance wildfire resilience
  • Develop and implement fire and fuel management plans
  • Lead engagement with stakeholders and manage relationships
  • Resolve conflicts and disputes in a professional and respectful manner
Requirements
  • Education in a natural resource related field and 2 years of related experience, or diploma in a natural resource related field and 3 years of related experience
  • Coursework in project management and experience managing multiple projects
  • Valid class 5 BC driver's licence
Preferred Qualifications
  • Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) with Forest Professionals BC (FPBC)
  • Experience in contract management, fuel management, ecosystem restoration, and prescribed fire
What We Offer

The BC Public Service Agency offers a competitive salary range of $76,071.18 - $86,658.48 annually, plus a bi-weekly isolation allowance for certain locations. We also offer flexible work options, including the possibility of working from home 2 or more days per week. An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
