About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Land and Resource Coordinator to join our team in Merritt, BC. As a key member of our district programs, you will work closely with stakeholders, collaborate with engineering professionals, and engage directly with First Nation communities to plan, implement, and monitor Wildfire Rehabilitation and Flood Recovery projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage contracts and coordinate equipment for various projects
  • Collaborate with government staff, local stakeholders, and First Nations Communities to plan and implement projects
  • Work closely with engineering professionals to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Develop and maintain relationships with senior-level stakeholders and partners
Requirements
  • Registered or immediately eligible for registration as a Registered Forest Technologist (RFT) with Forest Professionals British Columbia (FPBC)
  • Advanced training in project management
  • Minimum of two years of experience working in the natural resource sector
  • Experience managing multiple projects or leading a component of a major project
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supervising staff
  • Experience/knowledge in wildfire management practices
  • Experience in budget management and contract and financial administration
  • Experience/knowledge implementing provincial and regional First Nations' consultation procedures
