Job Summary

The Environmental Analyst will play a key role in administering NTPC's Environmental Management System (EMS), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and protecting the environment. This position requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer NTPC's EMS, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and protecting the environment.
  • Coordinate with other NTPC divisions to inform employees of EMS policies and guidelines, and monitor compliance.
  • Conduct field inspections and audits of operating and storage sites, either independently or in conjunction with the Health and Safety Coordinator.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders through written correspondence, in-person meetings, presentations, and public engagement sessions/hearings.
  • Develop and implement management plans for NTPC Water Licences and Land Use Permits, ensuring compliance with legislation.
  • Procure environmental resources by developing detailed scopes of work for environmental projects and outlining services required for compliance with NTPC purchasing policies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in an environmental or environmental engineering discipline, or related diploma.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in environmental assessments, remediation, and/or environmental project management, or other combination of equivalent experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • High level of organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including the ability to apply MS Word, Excel, and environmental software applicable to the position.

What We Offer

Salary range: $52.18/hr - $63.40/hr, plus a location allowance of approximately $4,642 per annum. Comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental benefits, long-term disability, life insurance, paid sick days, and a defined benefits pension plan. Relocation assistance may be provided.
