About the Role:

Athabasca Catering is seeking a highly skilled Health & Safety Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that promote a safe working environment for all employees and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and monitor health and safety hazards to ensure a safe workplace for all employees and clients.
  • Develop and implement programs that align with established business objectives and ensure compliance with relevant legislations, regulations, and policies.
  • Work with Department Managers to investigate safety-related incidents, identify effective corrective actions, and submit reports through our safety software.
  • Conduct weekly Job Task Observations, Job Hazard Analysis, and inspections, documenting and submitting findings through our safety software program.
  • Ensure all required documentation for JTOs, JHAs, inspections, and incidents is accurately completed and submitted to Head Office within required timelines.
  • Ensure all site day-to-day activities comply with sound business practices, legislations, regulations, acts, by-laws, policies, and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of health and safety principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
