The Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Maple Leaf Foods. As a key member of our safety team, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of our Occupational Health and Safety Program, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the Occupational Health and Safety Program, including policies, procedures, and training programs.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Investigate incidents and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Collaborate with management and employees to promote a culture of safety and wellness.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • Post-secondary degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
