About the Opportunity

The Occupational Therapist, part of our interdisciplinary team at Nova Scotia Health, works collaboratively with clients, caregivers, and family members to facilitate optimal function in areas of self-care, productivity, and leisure. This role involves consultation, assessment, treatment, evaluation, and follow-up, with a focus on individualized treatment plans and goals. Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills are essential, as the Occupational Therapist provides education and support to clients, families, and caregivers.

About You

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist with a Bachelor of Science or equivalent in Occupational Therapy, licensure with the College of Occupational Therapists of Nova Scotia, and BLS-C certification. Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to facilitate education programs and interact positively with patients/clients, families, and other healthcare providers, are required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to promoting a culture of respect that supports safety, ethical practices, cultural awareness, and organizational health.

Hours and Compensation

This is a permanent part-time (50%) position, with 37.5 hours bi-weekly. The hourly rate is $33.96 to $42.90. Successful candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
