Delivery Logistics Specialist

Slegg Building Materials is a leading provider of construction and building materials, seeking a skilled Delivery Helper to join our team in Cumberland, BC.
About the RoleThis full-time position involves delivering materials to customers while maintaining a focus on safety, customer service, and efficiency. Key responsibilities include:
- Representing the company as an ambassador with all employees and customers.
- Maintaining a culture of safety, prioritizing the well-being of both staff and clients.
- Delivering materials to customer satisfaction while emphasizing safety, service, and efficiency.
- Communicating effectively with customers and other tradespeople on construction sites.
- Verifying load security and accuracy.
- Assisting with rooftop and drywall deliveries.
- Maintaining contact with dispatch and resolving issues as they arise.
- Preparing trucks for reloading and supporting warehouse staff as needed.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Effective communication skills, including the ability to read and speak English fluently.
- BASIC MECHANICAL SKILLS.
- Physical requirements include:
- Lifting and carrying up to 100lbs.
- Sitting and driving for extended periods.
- Frequently climbing stairs.
- Pulling, pushing, bending, and twisting movements when transferring materials between trucks and job sites.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow.
