Senior Logistics Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Station Manager to lead our Amazon Logistics Delivery Station team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the overall safety, quality, and performance of our delivery station operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive vision for station team and create quality initiatives, process change initiatives, and lean initiatives to enable functional area and DS to meet and exceed business plan
- Problem-solve for closing gaps between performance and goals
- Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations, Area, and Shift Managers
- Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Ops Managers accountable for performance and performance of their departments
- Manage relationships with multiple Delivery Service Providers (DSPs)
- Present operational metrics regularly to senior leadership team
- Hire and develop top talent, including talent acquisition, performance, and career management, learning and development, succession planning, and employee engagement
Requirements
- Completed Bachelor's degree from accredited university or 2+ years Amazon work experience
- 7+ years direct management experience, including salaried, hourly, and agency workforce, in logistics, fulfillment, last-mile manufacturing, engineering, production, or distribution environment
- Demonstrated track record of delivering performance and financial-based results in high-pressure environments
- Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and lean techniques
- Experience with full lifecycle staffing, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions, and terminations
- Strong analytical capability; track record of digging into data and finding solutions for operational problems
- Excellent communication skills, including local language and English, written and verbal
- Experience managing third-party resources on a regional/national scale
- Experience managing contingent workforce in business with peak seasons
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Engineering, Operations, or related field and MBA preferred
- Experience in startup environment
- Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
- Interest in long-term career development
