Job Overview

Island Health is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. This role requires excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as the ability to operate related equipment safely and effectively.

About the Job

This is a permanent full-time opportunity that involves transporting goods and materials across various locations. The successful candidate will have a valid Class 4 Vehicle Licence (unrestricted) and/or Class 3 Vehicle Licence with Air Brake Endorsement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transporting goods and materials in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Maintaining accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.
  • Providing exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • Grade 10 or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid Class 4 Vehicle Licence (unrestricted) and/or Class 3 Vehicle Licence with Air Brake Endorsement.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to deal with others effectively.
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
  • Ability to organize work.
  • Ability to operate related equipment.
Compensation

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience. This estimate is subject to change and may vary depending on the location and other factors.
