We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Patrol Officer to join our team at Great Canadian Entertainment. As a Security Patrol Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining the security and safety of our premises, ensuring the well-being of our employees, horses, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist employees in observing and complying with company policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Control access to the barn area and maintain a secure environment.
  • Conduct regular patrols to identify potential safety hazards and take necessary action to mitigate risks.
  • Investigate and report any incidents or suspicious activity, and intervene as necessary.
  • Provide assistance to staff, horsemen, and visitors, and answer directed calls as required.
  • Submit required reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Minimum Grade 12 Education.
  • Physical ability to perform security-related duties, including running, standing, and walking for prolonged periods.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, including good oral and written English, discretion, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work in close proximity to horses and knowledge of the horse-racing industry is an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively without direct supervision and demonstrate honesty and integrity.
  • Serving it Right Certification.
