Overview
Johnson Electric Group, a global leader in electric motors and related electro-mechanical components, seeks an experienced Country Human Resources Manager to lead HR responsibilities across our Canadian facilities.
Salary: To commensurate with candidate experience and local market (approx. CAD 120,000 - 180,000 per year)
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing HR strategies, providing consulting support to Plant HR Managers, and managing internship, apprenticeship, and co-op programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Ontario legislation and develop policies/procedures for the plants.
- Provide consulting support on employee issues, compensation, short-term/long-term disability, and other HR matters.
- Coordinate monthly HR meetings and provide mentorship, coaching, and training to the HR team.
- Manage global mobility requirements in Canada.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of HR experience in progressively more responsible positions.
- Strong knowledge of legal requirements in Canada.
- 5+ Years partnering with senior leadership (Directors and above).
- 5+ Years managing multiple locations.
