Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Support Specialist to join our team at Ottawa Public Health.

Responsibilities
  • Greet clients, answer phones, schedule appointments, and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic.
  • Process payments, prepare individual client records, and maintain an electronic database.
Requirements
  • Completion of 1 year post-secondary certificate in office administration or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related office/administrative experience, preferably in health clinic/setting.
  • Experience with graphics and desktop publishing procedures and software is desirable.
Competencies, Skills, and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to deescalate client interactions in a safe manner.
  • Detail oriented, able to schedule appointments meticulously, and prepare individual client records correctly using an electronic database.
What You Need to Know
  • Language Requirement: Designated Day 1 Ready – immediate requirement for language proficiency: French: oral, reading, writing English: oral, reading, writing.
  • You may initially be paid 95% of your starting rate of pay, in accordance with the collective agreement.

The estimated salary for this position is $59,153.64 - $69,209.14 annually, based on the location and job requirements.
