Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Live Assets. As a key member of our IT Infrastructure and Operations team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support for our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide post-implementation support and ongoing resolution related to network remediation projects, acting as a Tier 3 support to Tier 1 and 2 Helpdesk staff.
  • Act as an escalation point for Tier 1 and 2 staff, providing guidance and support to ensure timely resolution of network-related issues.
  • Update job aids and standard operating procedures for Helpdesk staff to ensure consistency and accuracy in network support.
  • Learn and support company-standard practice management clinic software at an advanced level, ensuring seamless integration with our network infrastructure.
  • Set up and configure new systems and network equipment, including access points, network switches, and firewalls.
  • Provide support to end users to troubleshoot connectivity issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity.
  • Collaborate with Server Cloud and Network engineers to understand their implementation methods and document procedures for future reference.
  • Provide Early Life Support (ELS) after project-specific implementations, ensuring a smooth transition to production.
  • Perform changes in Cisco Meraki firewalls, Ubiquiti switches, and access points, as well as IoT devices and veterinary-specific equipment.
  • Utilize Microsoft 365 for project communications and file management, ensuring secure and efficient collaboration.
  • Provide ongoing network support and troubleshooting residual IT issues, ensuring the stability and security of our network infrastructure.
Requirements
  • Fluency in English and French is required.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and MS Office 365, Active Directory, Azure, and Intune is essential.
  • Solid understanding of network topologies and protocols is necessary.
  • Layer-2 and Layer-3 experience for networking technologies, including VLAN, STP, Wi-Fi, and 802.1x, is required.
  • Understanding of remote management tools and techniques is necessary.
  • Knowledge and administration of the Microsoft Windows Server platform is essential.
  • Knowledge of Zendesk or related ticketing systems is required.
  • Experience in customer service, technical support, and IT field support is necessary.
  • Ability to work with a variety of internal stakeholders and different divisions is required.
  • Relevant certifications, such as CCNA/CCNP, Cisco Meraki Solutions Specialist, or Microsoft Certified Azure Network Engineer Associate, are desired.
