About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Network and Voice Engineering to join our team at Wayfair. As a key member of our engineering organization, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of our network and voice engineering strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Network and Voice Engineering Efforts
    • Develop and implement network and voice engineering strategies to support the growth and success of Wayfair.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize network and voice engineering initiatives.
  • Architect and Implement Network and Voice Solutions
    • Design and implement scalable and secure network and voice solutions to support Wayfair's business needs.
    • Collaborate with vendors and partners to evaluate and implement new technologies and solutions.
  • Lead and Manage a Team of Engineers
    • Lead a team of 10+ engineers to manage performance, efficiency, and innovation.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of team members.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders
    • Work with internal stakeholders to understand current and future support needs.
    • Collaborate with external stakeholders to evaluate and implement new technologies and solutions.
  • Measure and Analyze Performance
    • Develop and implement metrics to measure the success of network and voice engineering initiatives.
    • Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements
  • 7+ Years of Network and Voice Engineering Experience
  • 5+ Years of Experience Managing Technical Teams
  • Strong Technical Skills
    • Deep understanding of Cisco or Aruba network and Genesys voice technologies.
    • Strong understanding of OSPF, IPSec, VLANs, BGP, IP routing, Cisco ASA firewalls, Palo Alto firewalls, network management.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills
    • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships at every level and manage those relationships.
    • Strong communication and influencing skills to explain ideas from different perspectives to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Networking, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • Public Cloud Experience
    • Experience with Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure environments.
