Cardiology Technologist Position

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cardiology Technologist to join our Cardiology team at Surrey Memorial Hospital and Jim Pattison Outpatient Care & Surgery Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various cardiac tests, including electrocardiograms, stress tests, and holter monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrocardiogram (ECG) testing, stress testing, holter and/or event monitor testing, and ambulatory blood pressure (ABP) testing.
- Explain procedures and answer patient questions in preparation for testing.
- Scan and analyze ECG, stress, and holter monitor test strips, and summarize test results for interpretation by medical staff.
- Enter patient test information into Meditech to provide electronic health records.
- Maintain equipment, clean, lubricate, and replace items as required, and complete requisitions for repair.
- Distribute patient reports to appropriate wards and/or departments.
- Provide input and assist with the development, implementation, and update of department policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Completion of a recognized Cardiology Technology Program at the Diploma level.
- Two years of recent related experience.
- Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT) certification.
