About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Imaging Specialist - CT Technologist to join our team at Surrey Memorial Hospital.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing special procedure examinations in CT, observing safe radiation protection practices, and ensuring high-quality images are produced. They will work closely with our team of medical professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Salary Information

This is a casual opportunity with an estimated hourly salary range of CAD $38.07 - $47.52 per hour.

About the Position
  • Perform special procedure examinations in CT, following established procedures and protocols;
  • Monitor patient safety during procedures, responding promptly to any adverse reactions or emergencies;
  • Operate computerized imaging equipment, including processing and archiving acquired data;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, ensuring compliance with departmental standards;
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care;
  • Participate in quality control duties, scheduling and performing equipment tests as needed;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Certification with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT);
  • Completion of an advanced specialty program in Computed Tomography;
  • At least one year of recent experience in a related field, including supervisory experience;
  • Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) level;
  • Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practice related to designated modality;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
