Construction Technologist Position in Surrey

We are seeking a skilled Construction Technologist to join our team in Surrey. This is a 12-month contract position with a renowned company offering a competitive pay rate.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will perform various duties related to planning, estimating, and field coordination activities for construction projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing detailed cost estimates by considering engineering specifications and contract conditions;
- Researching, analyzing, and recommending best methods and procedures to minimize labor and equipment requirements, associated costs, and/or scheduling impacts;
- Preparing quantity takeoffs for a wide range of materials and components;
- Applying established markups to direct cost components to ensure recovery of full overhead expense;
- Preparing work schedules and coordinating activities on assigned projects;
The ideal candidate will possess a Diploma of Technology or Degree in a construction-related field and have at least five years of experience in construction and/or project management.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo be successful in this role, you must have:
- A Diploma of Technology or Degree in a construction-related field such as Engineering, Forestry, Architecture, Project Management, Construction Management, Business Administration, or Quantity Surveying;
- At least five years of experience in construction and/or project management;
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
