GM Lead Department Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Department Manager to lead our General Merchandise and Fashion team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Service
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers with product inquiries, and resolving customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Team Leadership
- Assist in providing direction and coordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the Store Management Team.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to team members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Merchandising and Visual Display
- Assess the overall presentation of General Merchandise and Fashion Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes as required.
- Operations and Administration
- Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures.
- Ensure displays and fixtures are secure and free of debris.
- Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous retail management experience preferred.
- Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g. business, marketing, etc.).
- Proven track record of success in a leadership role.
