Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GM Lead Department Manager to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for assisting in the leadership of General Merchandise and Fashion Associates and department processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by greeting all customers in a polite and friendly manner, assisting customers with product information, and resolving customer issues.
  • Assist in providing direction and coordination of task completion as per communicated priorities from the General Merchandise and Fashion Assistant Manager and the Store Management Team.
  • Assess the overall presentation of General Merchandise and Fashion Departments and appearance, noting deficiencies for corrective action and executing merchandising display changes where required.
  • Delegate, assist, and follow up on completion of daily Customer Availability Process tasks.
  • Support with scheduling as needed.
  • Assign Associates to support with coverage and availability tasks in all areas of the store.
  • Participate in the training and development of General Merchandise and Fashion Associates, and provide feedback as needed.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, and hazard-free work environment through adherence to Company policy and procedures.
