**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Department Manager, Bakery to join our team at our location in Prince Rupert, BC. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for leading a team, fostering a positive environment, and driving business growth.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead a team of bakery staff, providing coaching, mentoring, and resources to ensure excellent customer service and sales growth.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes teamwork, open communication, and a customer-first mindset.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth, including analyzing sales data, identifying trends, and making data-driven decisions.
- Manage inventory, including taking stock counts and ordering supplies as needed.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and customers to ensure seamless operations and excellent customer service.
**Requirements**
- Previous retail or customer service experience, preferably in a bakery or food service environment.
- Food Safe Certification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
- Passion for great food and providing outstanding customer service.
