Senior Representative

As a Senior Representative at Wesco International, Inc., you will be responsible for developing new business opportunities and building strong relationships with assigned customers to increase sales and revenue. You will participate in customer business planning to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their requirements. Your primary focus will be on face-to-face selling and account management activities to meet sales revenue goals. You will engage with all levels of the customer's organization, including technical, operations, supply chain, and executive management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Qualify accounts by determining market potential and providing periodic territory sales forecasts.
- Execute and expand assigned customer account plans in conjunction with management.
- Execute billing margin initiatives through value-added services, marketing programs, and supplier engagement.
- Prospect potential customers through cold calling and referral channels.
- Communicate with customers to identify and understand their product or service needs and suggest suitable solutions.
- Demonstrate the functions and utility of products or services to customers based on their needs.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through ongoing communication and relationship management.
- Maintain communication with existing and previous customers to alert them of new products, services, and enhancements.
- Develop sales and supplier plans to drive account growth and retention.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers through regular joint sales calls.
- Provide quotations directly or in conjunction with the sales support team.
Requirements:
- High School Degree or Equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sales, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Three to five years of outside sales experience required.
- Four years of industry experience preferred.
- Ability to travel to current and potential clients and suppliers.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and occasional overnight travel.
- Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills.
- Knowledge of advertising and sales promotion techniques (Preferred).
- Ability to travel 50% - 75%.
