About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Senior Field Claims Representative to join our team in the Thunder Bay region and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate complex commercial and personal lines property claims through effective communication with customers, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Handle field tasks on behalf of telephone adjusters, ensuring timely and respectful resolution of claims.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing queries and concerns related to the claims process.
  • Document claim files by gathering reports and statements from customers, appraisers, and other relevant parties to determine coverage.
  • Analyze information, interpret insurance policy wording, and assess damage to determine coverage.
  • Negotiate with customers, claimants, lawyers, and insurers to settle claims within established authority limits.
  • Stay up-to-date with insurance products, appraisal, and investigation techniques.
Requirements
  • University degree or college diploma, or equivalent business experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience handling personal and commercial property claims, with at least partly acquired experience in the field.
  • Strong passion for customer service, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Strong aptitude for technology, with excellent computer skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Ability to travel on short notice.
