Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Urban Planning Specialist to join our team in Hamilton, Ontario. As an integral part of our planning department, you will be responsible for translating technical concepts into practical community and neighbourhood plan policy applications.

About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of two years of professional experience in urban planning. You will work closely with senior management, developers, and other stakeholders to develop and implement comprehensive plans and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and analyze data to inform planning decisions
  • Develop and review planning documents, including reports and studies
  • Liaise with community groups, developers, and other stakeholders to gather input and feedback
  • Present findings and recommendations to committees and council
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A degree in Urban and Regional Planning or a related field
  • Full membership with the Canadian Institute of Planners or Ontario Professional Planners Institute
  • Excellent research, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
What We Offer
